What an incredible experience, and that she was able to remember and relate her experience back with such detail, there is no study that could duplicate that, what a gift! Plus the fact that she’s a neuroanatomist, so she could understand what was going on. The tragedy with it, just like everything else, is that the only people that will understand it are the ones who already understand it. Everyone else will just make fun of it and dismiss it because it bounces right off their brains. Thank you
like how her right arm (controlled by the left-brain) hangs at her side as she explains the business card portion of the story, while her left arm (controlled by the right-brain) does all of the gesticulation. it is almost as though she were re-telling the event, viscerally, via muscle memory. (this is obviously not the salient aspect of this video, but i wanted to point it out because it occurred to me).
@GlobalOceans you too. Actually some parts of her story sound like a strong weed high – the parts about not remembering what number she had just dialed, she looking at herself like for the first time; completely ignoring anything exterior if she wanted etc.

Her intention is to show this indicates a spiritual element when in fact it indicates that these types of experiences are a biological process of the brain in this case caused by a severe and identifiable malfunction.
Sounds exactly like an LSD trip as puravid4 said. These experiences tend to make people more caring about others and have a deeper appreciation of all around us. IMO it was a primary reason for the hippy movement being about peace and love. Problem is a segment of society can’t survive as a lamb all about peace and love in a world where you’re still surrounded by wolves.
Her talk is absolutely astounding. Her final point that we can choose to live in either side of brain is dead on. What kind of a world do we wish to create? What kind of a world do we wish to live in? Such important questions, arrived at in such an intense fashion.
@Tristan00 Please, have a stroke and tell me it’s euphoric. I’ve had an uncle, a military friend, and another have a stroke. All could say the same thing: there’s nothing euphoric about having a stroke.
And grats on being the ‘internet defender of justice’! =) Does it make ya feel better calling people names to get your point across? Good boy! Have a cookie and a stroke, that’ll make ya feel happy and euphoric. =) Go back to shooting TVs in the wilderness.
has she ever gotten laid?
brought a tear to my eyes. Lets not take life for granted people. No what you’ve got now, not when it’s gone.
Right hemisphere sounds like the spiritual world.

It’s not that hard to pronounce beinGs, is it?
my pussy itches
This is the funniest story about a stroke i’ve heard in a while.
I think she should expand her studies and also look into why some people fall asleep when she starts to talk. Zzzzzzzz Zzzzzz Zzzz

@GlobalOceans 12 votes up disagree with you. You’ve obviously never taken acid, don’t knock it until you try it.

@Tristan00 Indeed, but she started drifting off making assumptions instead of sticking to facts. “what do you choose?”
